TAG Heuer has unveiled the newest Carrera Chronograph to mark the 60th anniversary. TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph is a tribute of vintage era. Jack Heuer was the most famous leader in the history of the brand. Jack Heuer was the last Heuer member to manage the manufacturer. In 1964, Jack merged HEUER LEONIDAS and produced the most renowned timepieces: the caliber 11, which is the first automatic Chronograph movement, Monaco and the iconic Carrera.
The visionary also formed a partnership in 1971 with Enzo Ferrer, cementing HEUER’s association with Formula One. Jack also was known to give gold timepieces to racing drivers and this watch builds upon that legacy and presents a subtle nod to Heuer’s storied past.
This watch is housed in a case made of 18k 3N gold. It follows the other new releases throughout the year, including the Carrera Chronograph x Porsche Orange Racing, in February 2023; the Carrera Chronograph Glassbox, in March 2023; the Carrera Skipper, in July 2023; and the Carrera Chronosprint x Porsche, in September 2023.
In the line’s signature 39-mm diameter, the watch boasts contrasting black azuré subdials at three-and-nine-o’clock, below a domed sapphire crystal. The Carrera Chronograph has a TH20-01 movement that boasts an 80-hour power supply. But the piece’s most striking feature is the elegant golden case, with its Glassbox-style design.
The watch is available from November 2023, and costs $21,500. It comes with a black leather strap perforated in 3N gold and a pin buckle made of 18K yellow gold.
