Boodles announces that its sponsorship for the Cheltenham Gold Cup will be extended by another three years. It also becomes an official Jockey Club partner.
Boodles has been supporting the Cheltenham Festival since the early 2000s. In 2022, Boodles will become the official sponsor of The Cheltenham Gold Cup.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. In celebration of this momentous anniversary, Boodles have created a limited-edition piece named ‘Gold Cup 100’ to celebrate the event.
These jewellery pieces inspired by horses will be unveiled at the Cheltenham Festival. They will also be displayed in the Orchard for the entire week.
The pendant has a stunning leaping horse design, set in platinum and diamonds.
Boodles’ designers also created an exclusive bespoke item featuring a spectacular pink stone in true Boodles style.
The proceeds from this pink diamond pendant are going to two charities that are close to both Boodles’ and Cheltenham’s hearts: WellChild, and Heros.
Michael Wainwright, managing director of Boodles, said: “Boodles is thrilled to announce that we have signed a further three-years with The Jockey Club to sponsor the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup. Boodles’ involvement in Cheltenham is a unique experience.
“It has enabled us to promote Boodles to a huge new audience as well as providing a fabulous environment to entertain our existing customers. Being passionate about National Hunt racing myself also makes it a huge joy to be involved in such a stunning sporting event as the Cheltenham Festival.”
Ian Renton, managing director for The Jockey Club’s West Region, added: “Boodles is such an iconic British brand, and we are extremely proud to expand our association with it as an official partner of The Jockey Club.
“We will never forget the incredible scenes in 2022 for Boodles’ first year of sponsorship of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and we are looking forward to what the 2024 renewal has in store. To develop this partnership over the decade has been wonderful, and we are very much looking forward to continuing to work alongside the Boodles team.”
