Our April capsule combines classic silhouettes with vintage charm to create a collection of vacation-ready pieces and daywear. The POSSE exclusive seagrass handloom print is a joy to wear, while the Louisa styles have elegant scalloped edges and intricate embroidery.
What is it?
Our April collection consists of an array of relaxed cuts, sweeping dresses, and slouchy tailoring – combining classic POSSE silhouettes with beloved statement pieces. This collection is designed for warm weather, and features lightweight fabrics that breathe. It’s perfect for destination dressing.
What was the moodboard for it?
The New Palace of Morvi (also known as Navlakha Palace) was our inspiration. The palace features beautiful murals, frescoes and motifs that showcase spectacular colors and textures. The mood board also included a tranquil ambiance, in addition to architectural inspiration. Soft pinks and gentle greens featured prominently, lending a soothing quality to the collection’s aesthetic. From the corals to the pastels, each element contributed to an harmonious fusion between color and texture.
What is the production process like?
We have partnered with manufacturers who are audited and certified all over the globe. We share the same values as our suppliers, which is to manufacture ethically and responsibly. To ensure that the highest quality is met, we use luxury fabrics carefully sourced. We are committed to delivering conscious collections. Only a limited amount of each style is ordered. We will only reproduce items that are guaranteed a full sell-through or are part of our L’essentials range, which is our permanent collection at POSSE.
What is your favourite piece and how would you wear it to?
I truly love the entire collection; however, if I had to pick just one piece, it would be the Louisa Tie Dress in vintage white – I always feel incredible when wearing it. It’s such a versatile piece that fits beautifully into any setting. I wear it around my house barefoot and with a straw bag or sandals on Sunday afternoons with my girlfriends. The stunning embroidery makes it a statement piece that requires minimal accessories.
How does it emit a feeling of spring?
Our April styles feature lightweight, breathable fabrics, which are perfect for the warm weather. The color palette – a mixture of neutrals and soft pastels – captures the essence of Spring, evoking a sense of calm and serenity, akin to the feeling of spending a sunny day outdoors.
