Sincere Fine Watches will bring the German independent brand Kudoke from Germany to Singapore and Malaysia, a move that is sure to delight local collectors. Kudoke received international acclaim for its GPHG victory in 2019. The watchmaker won the Petite Aiguille prize for the Kudoke 2 piece. Collectors have known for a while that the brand was founded in 2008 by AHCI-member Stefan Kudoke. Stefan runs the company with his wife Ev.
WOW Thailand and Singapore conducted an interview in 2020. The editors had discovered Kudoke just a couple of years earlier. Kudoke has a good answer for those who think German watchmaking is only about Glashutte. Kudoke’s base of operations is just outside Dresden, which is the city closest to Glashutte; Stefan worked as a watchmaker at Glashutte Original and Blancpain, with stints at Breguet and Omega as well.
Kudoke watches are today famed for creative skeletonisation, and indeed started that way, fuelled by Stefan’s passion for the art and his recognition of a market gap for such timepieces. This foreshadowed the fine engraving and hand-finishing evident on the brand’s in-house Kaliber 1.
Kudoke collectors can find out all about the figurine at Sincere boutiques or SHH salons both in Singapore and Malaysia.
