Hosting the BET awards for a third time in a row, ‘The Color Purple‘ actress owned the stage and entertained attendees by opening the show with a parody with Kendrick Lamar’s “You’re Not Like Us.”
Henson has also taken a position on politics by talking about Project 25 and its negative impact on our government should Trump be reelected. Project 25 includes rolling back civil rights legislation, restricting abortion access and limiting contraception.
Henson was eloquent in her expression.
