Nautor Swan has developed the carbon fibre Swan 100, to replace its Swan 98. The Swan 98 sold four units. Part of the Finnish builder’s line of Maxi Yachts, the Swan 100 joins the new 108 – which debuted at September’s Monaco Yacht Show – and Swan 120, as well as the upcoming Swan 88 and Swan 128 models.
Giovanni Pomati, CEO of Nautor Group, said the Swan 100 was designed by “a dream team” including Germán Frers for naval architecture, Lucio Micheletti for exterior styling and Misa Poggi for interiors, as well as the shipyard’s internal engineering team.

Frers, who has worked with Swan since 1980, emphasised that the Swan 100’s hull lines are an evolution on previous Swan Maxis.
The bow is straight with a low-profile bowsprit, allowing for safe anchoring and easy sail handling. A low coachroof set behind the mast gives the bow a balanced, yet aggressive appearance with a long clean foredeck. The transom opens to reveal a beach club and toys storage area, which is a central feature of the onboard lifestyle.
“I’m working with Nautor Swan more than ever and never making a revolution but always an evolution to give continuity to the heritage of the brand,” Frers said. “Clients are getting more demanding and so is the competition.”

Lucio Micheletti’s studio Micheletti + Partners has created a safe, light and easy-to use deck layout. The deck features a large and well-protected cockpit for guests, a mixture of white hull and wooden decking, with glazed surfaces allowing light to enter the interior.
Although Poggi is working on several interior layouts, the first Swan 100 will have a full-beam ensuite owner’s cabin fore, two further guest cabins and a VIP cabin with its own entrance just off the light-filled companionway.

If you are an owner who loves to cook, a galley next to the saloon will be perfect for you. However, a space adjacent to it can be used as a battery storage area if you choose a hybrid propulsion. The crew quarters are large enough for crew to live comfortably aboard during a charter season.
Swan, whose dealers in Asa include Asiamarine, also announced that it was developing the Swan 148, which would be the brand’s biggest yacht since the shipyard was founded in Finland in 1966.
