Heya, friend! Today is a quick post because I have a long day tomorrow at work. Anywho, I wore this OOTD earlier this week when it was sunny, and it’s my new favorite fit.
The first time I wore these Madewell Harlowe wide leg pants, it took me some time to get the hang of styling them. What a huge difference tucking your shirt into the pant makes!
Red Chucks also play a key role here, I believe. The chunky soles balance the wide leg of the pants nicely.
Two things I like most about this outfit. The sweater with the lipprint (I bought it last year at Antrhopologie), yet the plaid still works well with them. I wasn’t sure at first, but then I tried everything on and liked it! It’s impossible to know unless you try. So, if you are unsure about whether or not a mix of prints will work for you, go ahead and give it a shot.
Second thing — I also like the pops of red in the sweater, the t-shirt (from Clare V.) and the red Chucks.
By the way, these pants are cut the same as the navy ones I wore a week ago. The fabric is slightly thicker, which helps me with the volume of the pants and their drape.
Have you ever tried wide-leg trousers? What do think about the new trend?
