‘To Be Celebrated’ was the theme of The Black Excellence Brunch hosted by Trell Thomas Sunday afternoon in Los Angeles.
Celebrities are often recognized and honored for their achievements, but the people that helped them achieve their goals go unrecognized in the public eye.
Thomas, however, changed the narrative at The Black Excellence Brunch, which took place over the weekend. He created a sacred area for celebrities to pay tribute and honor their loved ones who have stood by them, encouraged them, and helped to make their vision a reality.
Niecey, an American actress and TV host, wore her custom-made nude bodycon dress to celebrate Jessica Betts.
In a sentimental speech to Betts who opted for a look by ‘Richfresh, Nash shared, “I thank you for encouraging me in so many ways, and let me tell you from the day I met you, it has just been MORE for me.”
Kyla Pratt was also there, wearing a wrap dress in burnt orange Steve Madden to celebrate her mother. She has been her biggest supporter during her Hollywood journey.
Claire Sulmers (CEO of Fashion Bomb) was also at the brunch and returned from Paris Fashion Week with live reports.
Claire, dressed in a Nude sequins ZCRAVE Dress, layered her look by adding a snakeskin-leather trench coat and matching thigh-high boots.
Sulmers was able to catch up with New York Times Bestselling Author, Tabitha Brown who wore all white for the special occasion including a rhinestone embellished Je T’aime shirt and blazer. We also loved Tabitha’s stunna shades.
Sulmers spoke with Niecey, Kendall Kyndall (TV personality), Bernon Francois (celebrity hairstylist), Joe Harris, among others.
