There are Two Swimming Pools – the main one with a fantastic view of Pigeon Island, and a courtyard pool with stylish day beds.
Beach & Water Sports
Smugglers Cove is a beach lounger-friendly area with a beach bar. All beaches in Saint Lucia are open to the public, but Cap Maison’s is a bit more remote and therefore less crowded.
The ocean water was pleasantly warm during our visit in early February. There are no rocks underfoot as you walk into the sea, so you don’t need to wear swimming shoes.
Cap Maison offers a variety of complimentary activities, including kayaking, Hobie Cat sailing, paddleboarding and windsurfing. For a small fee, lessons are offered. At the Naked Fisherman, you can ask for identification cards to help you identify as many fish species as possible.

The therapists were very energetic and gave us a treatment that really helped to soothe any aches or pains. Massages are available in the Rock Maison and garden gazebo for a small additional fee.
Maintain your fitness routines by using the most up-to-date equipment. Although we didn’t use the gym during our stay as there was so much to do nearby, it’s got everything you need for a workout.
Cap Maison Fitness Centre is a light, airy facility that includes a Peloton bicycle, two treadmills a cross trainer, TRX equipment resistance machines free weights pull up and dip bar, and a stretching area.

The mocktails were delicious, as was the shrimp tostadas with corn tortilla and surf ceviche. There’s a kid’s menu and you can also order a beach picnic with treats such as short rib burrito and chicken satay.

Book foodie activities like a Chocolate Cocktail MasterclassOn the veranda, the charming Cliff Maison’s bar. The bar staff provided expert guidance and we thoroughly enjoyed creating the cocktails.
They’d gone above and beyond, creating a personalized cocktail for each of us – a Dorado Royale for me (with El Dorado 12 year old rum, Chambord, Bailey’s, chocolate, cream and cinnamon powder) and a Spiced Delight Paul: (with vanilla spice, chocolate, coconut milk and spiced rum)
Well stocked Cellar Maison It offers an extensive selection of wines and provides options for private dining to those seeking a more personal experience.
The wine pairings were fantastic. We started with jerk boudin paired with Baron De Rothschild champagne brut. Everything was delicious, from the octopus to the chili and ginger rice, the duck confit, and even banana tarte-tatin.
