Kiki McDonough celebrates 20 years of the Detachables Collection by adding 20 new limited edition pieces.
The concept, where hoops and earring drops can be selected separately, was first pioneered by the designer two decades ago to allow for “seamless transitions from day to day, or day to night”.
The new limited-edition detachable drops are made up of Rhodolite Garnets (Rhodolite Garnet), Fire Opals (Fire Opal), Morganite Briolettes Pink Opal Pink and Green Tourmaline Yellow Beryl Peridot Fluorite Aquamarine Iolite and many more.
Each gemstone has been selected for its “vibrancy”, including Fire Opal sourced in Mexico and Pink Opal sourced from Peru. Some new editions are “distinctive” in the way they are cut, in such a way that requires skilled lapidaries to perfect diamond shaped facets over the entire stone’s surface.
These gemstones are available in many different colours and shapes, including cushions, hearts, ovals and pears. They can be used on any Kiki Hoops.
Kiki McDonough, founder of the eponymous brand, said: “I love choosing different detachable drops to put on to Kiki Hoops depending on my outfit and my mood. The earrings are a great way to add colour and brighten up your face.
“It’s wonderful to be marking two decades of the Detachables collection, as the concept simply didn’t exist before we developed it, and I am so pleased that so many customers find it as practical and pleasing as I do to pick and choose how to tailor their jewellery to fit in with their lifestyle.”
