Each cabin is named after a Scottish Lighthouse. The Fingal offers several suites, including the Skerryvore SuiteEach room has its own deck and bath. Each room has been individually designed with bespoke furniture and fittings.
All cabins include a smart television, complimentary WiFi, and coffee/tea-making facilities. There’s underfloor heating, a mini bar and an in room safe.
We were lucky to stay in a Classic Duplex CabinThe apartment is spread out over two levels. From the elegant living space, a spiral staircase leads to the separate WC and shower room.
In the bedrooms, you’ll find cosy tartan throws and cushions designed by Araminta Campbell . Brass faucets, Noble Isle products, and fluffy bathrobes are found in the bathrooms and shower-rooms.
Dining on Fingal Edinburgh
Fingal’s guests can experience fine dining at The Lighthouse Restaurant & Bar. This elegant restaurant boasts floor-to ceiling windows, and comfy booths. Bar offers a variety of drinks, including afternoon tea and cocktails.
It is a Scottish-inspired restaurant that uses locally sourced ingredients. In fact, Fingal’s herbs are grown quayside in their very own Herb Garden.
We enjoyed the Orkney scallops, Peterhead hake, and the salmon that was smoked onboard. You’ll want to save room for the fig tarte-tatin!
Lighthouse Bar Martini and Yard No. 140, Fingal’s name when she was first commissioned. Fingal even has her own gin produced by Lind & Lime Distillery, made with botanicals from the Fingal Meadow and their Fingal Tea blend.
Non-residents can book The Lighthouse for lunch, evening tea and dinner. Overnight guests can enjoy a delicious a la carte breakfast.
Facilities on Board Fingal Edinburgh
Fingal offers a spacious outdoor deck, complete with comfortable sun-loungers to take in the views of Leith. In a special room, history enthusiasts can enjoy browsing through original logbooks.
A stroll through the countryside is one of the highlights aboard Fingal. Engine Room. There’s a glass walkway positioned directly above it, giving guests a fantastic view of the action below!
Fingal has a number of event spaces. The Bridge The double-height dining room can accommodate up to 10 people. BallroomThe restaurant can seat up to 60 people for a private meal or 100 for an event. The venue has its own bar, and two staircases.
Fingal can be hired exclusively for weddings, product launches, meetings or other events.
Fingal Luxury yacht: What to do?
Fingal is less than five minutes’ walk from the Royal Yacht Britannia, and guests on board Fingal receive complimentary tickets for this visit. You’ll also find the Ocean Terminal shopping mall next to Royal Yacht Britannia.
Visit Trinity House Maritime Museum or Leith Links for some outdoor fun. You can choose from a variety of options. Edinburgh has many things to offer. too. The Water of Leith Walkway and the tram are both ways to get into Edinburgh’s city centre. There’s a tram stop just a minute away from Fingal.
