Fashion Bomb daily proudly announces the publication of our first magazine, which debuted at Saturday’s Bomb Fashion Show. The moment is still surreal, but it feels like a dream.
Claire Sulmers, CEO of Claire Sulmers, always imagined herself at the helm a fashion magazine when she was young. Now, 17 years after she launched her fashion website she has finally seen the fruits of labor in a revolutionary manner.
“As a teenager, I loved reading magazines, but frequently lamented that I never saw women who looked like me: women of color, with different shapes, sizes, and hair textures,” expressed Sulmers. “After working as journalist for several year then branching out as a blogger turned CEO, I don’t thing I would have ever imagined having my own magazine. Here it is!“
Supermodel, Jessica White is the covergirl, and it only felt right to have a woman of color who’s been in the fashion industry for years to grace the front page of our magazine.
White’s resume is impressive. She has worked as a model for Vogue magazine and Harpers Bazaar. She also walked the runways for designers like Oscar de la Renta or Marc Jacobs.
White, who is unapologetically open, spoke to Sulmers candidly about her soft-girl era, the trials she went through with her ex-boyfriend Nick Cannon, as well as her belief in spirituality.
The articles will include information about the designers and the team that created the Bomb Fashion Show.
Interviews with designers such as Don Morphy and Bruce Glen, Allison Elizabeth Brown, Jolie Duzon and Bruce Glen have all shared the inspiration behind their designs and their thought processes.
Solidifying the magazine concept, you can also revel in Claire’s lifestyle by reading about what’s in her Hermes Birkin bag, which is always a favorite component of any magazine.
