Buccellati’s Opera collection has been expanded with the addition of Opera Premium, Opera Galileo, and Opera Maxi.
The Renaissance rose windows are re-interpreted and created into new pieces in this new collection. The new pieces also maintain the “stylistic codes that characterise the maison”.
Opera Premium incorporates the Opera logo element and inserts diamonds into the yellow gold border. The diamonds can also be found in the corner fan parts in alternate gold colours.
The central part of the ring is decorated with radial tulle, and a white gold diamond in its center, which rests on a yellow gold rosette.
The stylistic features typical of Buccellati jewellery are still there, namely the alternation of contrasting gold colours, the radial tulle and the ‘modellato’ and ‘rigato’ engravings. The Premium line features button earrings and pendants with chains.
Opera Maxi is the magnification and tulle-worked version of Opera. The pendant comes with or is without a center diamond and around its edges.
Lastly, Opera Galileo is dedicated to famous scientists Galileo Galilei for his “brilliance and inventiveness”.
The Galileo pendant is made up of concentric logos, representing the astronomical globe, in gold alternating colors, that rotate around an axis. This turns the pendant into a 3-dimensional object.
The pendant comes in two different versions, with and without embedded diamonds on the central element of rosette.
Buccellati said: “The new declinations of the Opera line confirm traits of great personality and unmistakable style, typical characteristics of the Buccellati Maison that has made its name synonymous with style and timeless beauty in the world.”
