I’m on a mission to wear fall looks that are simple, elegant and easy. I gotta say, I feel pretty put together together in this one, which features a few of my favorites — NARS Kalahari II eyeshadow, NARS Amour blush and MAC Half Red Lip Pencil.
Liner tip lifted
Erica Taylor, a makeup artist Jane Daly introduced to me recently, taught me a new eyeliner technique for this look. She’s been doing makeup for over 20 years and posts a lot of tips for beauties who are 40 and up.
She recommends using liner strategically at the outer corner of your eyelids to make it appear more lifted.
I’m really happy with how it turned out; I definitely think my hooded bits look a little less hooded! Plus, it’s really easy to do.
You can also use lip liner as a friend
I’d like to thank the Wet Seal representative from 1996 for teaching me the importance of lip liner. LOL! She was the person who first convinced me to use a lip liner and lip pencil. Then, she topped it off by applying lip balm.
